Alissa Gargano

Alissa is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (Advanced Practitioner in Autism Intervention) and Certified RDI Consultant, with a special interest in supporting communication in children of all ages and abilities.

Alissa graduated from the University of Sydney in 2010, and has worked in clinical practice, both in Sydney and Singapore. She has worked with clients from many different cultural backgrounds, and values the relationship and collaboration she forms with her clients and their families.

Alissa’s clinical work focuses on unlocking a child’s potential by including the family in all steps of the process. She uses the RDI approach as it is a collaborative model where parents play a central and valued role in the therapeutic process.

Alissa is committed to ongoing training in innovative and dynamic therapy techniques. Apart from being an RDI Certified Consultant, she also has training and experience in the following programs:

• Social Thinking by Michelle Garcia Winner
• Seeing Stars (literacy program by Linda Mood Bell)
