Roslyn has spent over 20 years as an occupational therapist pursuing her passion for working with children who experience developmental challenges.
She is dedicated to continually updating and developing her skills and knowledge to ensure she brings high quality service and the most up to date interventions to her work with children and families. Roslyn has experience working in specialised paediatric community services in the United Kingdom and both government funded and private clinics in Australia.
While working in a private therapy clinic in Sydney, to which many children were being referred with autism spectrum disorders, Roslyn observed that many of the traditional therapeutic approaches, while helpful, fell short of addressing the core difficulties of children on the autism spectrum. After researching the various interventions on offer to children on the autism spectrum she pursued the long process of training to obtain her qualification as an RDI certified consultant. She is now delighted to be able to offer this intervention to families in Sydney.
What excites Roslyn most is the extent to which RDI practice is informed by the latest research discoveries in child and brain development and that it targets the underlying developmental gaps that are common to children with autism spectrum disorder. Roslyn’s great desire is to see these precious children move out of the loneliness of autism and be able to connect with their family and peers and grow in their relationships and their confidence to face the ever changing world.
