Natalie Manley comes to Autism Connections from a Speech Pathology background. As a Speech Pathologist, Natalie’s dedication to helping families has seen her attend courses both interstate and overseas. This dedication and quest for knowledge led her to discover RDI® and its ability to change the lives of families living with children with Autism. Natalie has worked in the field of Speech Pathology and with children who have been diagnosed with Autism since 2003.

Natalie offers a range of services, including:

  1. RDI Program ®
  2. Speech Pathology sessions designed to target speech and language disorders associated with Autism. This includes articulation, comprehension skills and expressive communication, as well as stuttering and other communication disorders related with Autism such as Childhood Apraxia of Speech (dyspraxia).
  3. Design and implementation of visual schedules and visual communication systems.
  4. Design and implementation of communication systems for children who require an alternate communication system to speech. This includes a combination of signing, visual exchange and any other modality required.
  5. PECS ™
  6. Hanen More Than Words ®
  7. PROMPT – a multisensory approach to speech production for children and adults. This approach to developing speech sounds can often be helpful when traditional sound stimulation techniques have not worked.

Natalie is dedicated to providing a positive, family centered practice which is tailor made to each child and their families. Parents will always know their child best, and Natalie feels that through providing accurate information to parents about the options available to suit the needs of their child and their family. In order to achieve this, Natalie has completed training in a number of areas relating to Autism Spectrum Disorder including:
