Libby Scherrer has provided services to families with Autism for the past 20 years.  Libby holds an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education, Bachelor Degree majoring in Education and Psychology and a post graduate degree in Special Education.  Libby has maintained her learning in autism by attending conferences and workshops in Australia and overseas annually throughout her working life.  Libby has presented at conferences in Australia on autism programs.  She has implemented training programs for families and professionals in autism.  Libby worked for five years in early intervention services for several key agencies including NSW Department of Education, Kindergarten Union, Early Childhood Support Service and Aspect.  Libby provided behavioural intervention programs for preschool age children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) for ten years.  For the past five years she has been providing Relationship Development Intervention® Program (RDI®) to families with preschool age children with ASD. 

Qualifications:

RDI® Program Certified Consultant and Special Educator
Degrees in Education, Special Education, Psychology
20 years experience working with children with ASD and their families.
Can deliver the RDI® Program, Education Support, Behavioural interventions and IEP.
Training in ADOS, Behavioural intervention plans, educational assessments.
Employment includes: Autism consultant, early intervention consultant and teacher, autism teacher, preschool teacher.
Libby has supervised trainees in RDI® Program for the past three years. 

Libby provides programs for families in rural NSW and culturally diverse backgrounds especially Asian culture.  Libby is learning to speak and write Japanese.  Having come from a European background she is sensitive to the needs of people from other cultures and religions.
